The fact that I'm actually reading this thread, or even in this part of the bbs at all, is a testament to how terribly slow this place has become and how much I really don't want to use any other form of social media.

I love interacting with people I would otherwise never interact with. I love the entire style of communication you tend to get with forums. I wish newer members like Melyssa could have experienced this place in its heyday. It's nice that some people are still drawn to forums, I just wish there were more of us so the discussions could really flow again.
I never did understand the "groups" thing at all though.
