Yeah, and especially when this bloating and killer cramps happen at work. I would get them so bad, I would sweat, get very pale, get a fever, get dizzy and sometimes nauseous. All of this, for you men, was not caused by my period, but my the pain my period caused.
I said, "Hi, Greg. I'm the creepy girl." He chuckled, then wanted a handshake and I gave it. I wanted a hug and he gave it. One of his sons was there, too. Cute. Then Pete got him to autograph my sign for me because I was too polite to ask myself since he was on his way to eat. Pete also took this of photo of him holding it. - 8/2/2014.

Exactly! You can't just go to your manager, who's likely a male in this still-sexist society, and expect him to even want to understand the issue.

I mean, my period is so regular, you could practically set a watch by it, so it's impossible for it to catch me by surprise unless it starts while I'm asleep. It has NEVER happened at work, and for that I am thankful.

There was, however, one time where I was at a thrash show, and I leaked all over the place, but -- thank the menstruation gods -- I was wearing black pants.

Oh, that sound terrible! Yes, thankfully you were wearing black pants. >,<

Mine usually catches me by surprise, which is why I have to bring feminine products with me everywhere I go.

Frankly, it's never a bad idea to keep a tampon in a zipper pocket of your purse whenever you're out and about. I would always, AAAAAAAALWAYS rather have too many tampons than not enough.

I got laid off from my last job in June, and the first thing I did was buy a BUNCH of tampons. I've been employed at the new one since August, and I still haven't run out yet.

    I can't use tampons.

Haha, wow. That must have been a literal TON on tampons! Sorry you got laid off, though.

My apartment is filled with tampons. Sometimes I'll just randomly find them laying around. I'm like a tampon hoarder, because I am so paranoid about running out. I like to think that it's normal...

It sucks that you can't use tampons. I stopped using pads because I felt dirty whenever I wore one, and the nervous/anxious feeling of being dirty made my stomach knot up and made my cramps worse. Does anyone here have experience with the DivaCup? I'm really curious about it.
