Default Yay! Mother Nature is f#%king the East Coast...AGAIN with a Nor'easter.

We have a huge thunderstorm system coming up from the south and going to combine with a blizzard system coming from the east. It's gonna be one big clusterfuck of storms and snow on Friday. How fun!

I said, "Hi, Greg. I'm the creepy girl." He chuckled, then wanted a handshake and I gave it. I wanted a hug and he gave it. One of his sons was there, too. Cute. Then Pete got him to autograph my sign for me because I was too polite to ask myself since he was on his way to eat. Pete also took this of photo of him holding it. - 8/2/2014.

According to that link, it's not a Nor'easter (as it's coming from the Midwest, it doesn't fit the definition - the author is wrong). Anyway, two feet of snow is nothing!

You have a superiority complex, so go bury yourself in snow. Yes, it's a Nor'easter that's coming. My weatherbug widget explained it to me and I live in the Northeast, so I know what a Nor'easter is. I posted the first link I found because I have homework to do.

Here in good ol' Assachusetts, we have begun to call this the Blizzard of '13. I will likely lose power. But I don't really know. I'll probably take a forced break from the internet because of it. Shit!

Good luck, 'Xilla! You'll get hit harder than I will.

I'm sure I'll be fine, thanks. The problem is that my street is often neglected by the snow plows and I live at the top of a hill and it's a one-lane street. People park on both sides at random intervals so when driving you have to weave around.

Okay, you can call it a "nor'easter", even though it came directly from the Midwest and not, as is the definition of a Northeaster, in a northeast direction. You can freak out about it for attention and how poor you is going to be SLAMMED, even though it was at its strongest in the Midwest and all my friends and family reacted as though it was a typical snowstorm. I mean, it's winter after all. But yes, let's shower Melyssa with attention! Aww, poor you! Your life is so rough! Be safe and take care of yourself in these horrible conditions of getting snow in the winter!

I think I'd eventually miss the snow if I lived down south. Make a snowman Melyssa!

You would... I sure do. I grew up in an area that gets 1.5 to 2 meters of snow every winter, often in huge blizzards, and the temperatures are often -20C to -40C. I now live in a place where the weather is slightly Mediterranean. All winter, the temperature has hovered around 0C, and the snow we've gotten has been incredibly dense/wet/slushy, and it melts within a week of it coming. It's actually dangerous because people have been killed here this winter from giant icicles forming on extremely tall buildings, and falling on unsuspecting victims as they walked down the sidewalk. Also, there have been small "avalanches" of insanely heavy snow in the city, which have also killed some people.

I miss blizzards of real snow, real cold, and real winter, I have to admit.
