Default the six incarnations of gone away

just thought it would be intresting for you guys if i put up six
different versions of gone away to discuss.

    1) the ixnay album version we all know and love.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3INSQUXH4k

    2) when adam 'atom' willard played the intro of gone away slightly differently.
its like he fliped it, you'll know what i meen.(live) (sorry cant seem to find it, search its out there somewhere)

    3) pete playing the intro as normal, but repeating it at the end as a slowed
    down finish. (very cool) (live)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rD_rKXFvbQ

    4) dexter playing and singing solo on the piano. (live)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PM1swHZlbsw

    5) dex playing the piano and singing but then at the bridge of the song the rest of
the guys come in. (amazing but have only seen it once and can't seem to find it now) (live)

    6) the offspring with emily armstrong. (live)

i think thats all guys, what do you think of each change over the years.

Default There's a rare version on YouTube by a theoffspringdj - it actually sounds decent

I'd love to hear it on acoustic version live. All the other versions the song sounds great (especially) with Emily Armstrong. But still, nothing beats the original version though. Gone Away I dedicate it to my beloved mom.

This is the closest thing you're going to get to a acoustic version, fake but not too bad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PZO3rs7Auw

They played the #5 version at the Nashville show in '09 that randman21 and I went to. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDHvE6CZjXQ

I never knew there was an all piano version and I'm even more surprised that it was the version they played the most and I never knew. Haha! The other show I saw from that tour, Dexter sounded ill, so my guess they nixed it from the set list. That was the only show that I know of, from that tour, that they didn't play Gone Away at all.

I've only seen the piano-only version live at various shows, which does give you goosebumps. But the power of the instruments in combination with the piano.. oh man..
