I mean, did you have a pen pal?
I mean, did you have a pen pal?
When they said "sit down", I stood up.
I actually do. I live (near) Toronto, and she's in NYC.
We did a pen pal thing when I was in, like, the second grade or something. We only exchanged letters once though. I think, though, that the traditional pen pal practice is largely dead at this point. With things like Facebook and IM, that person on the other side of the globe becomes instantly accessible, forming, what I feel is, friendship on a very different level from a traditional pen pal.
I'm in Arizona and met an Australian girl on Omegle that I talk to all the time, usually everyday. Does that count?
I wrote a four word letter.
I had an email pal for a while when I was about 12 with an American girl who I met in Italy. Didn't last too long.
In secondary school, for 2nd year, I think, we were made have pen pals for German class, so I had a German pen pal( quickly turned email pal) for a short while who I wrote to in German, and who wrote to me in English. Then my computer broke and she freaked out that I didn't reply soon enough *shrug*.
I'd love to have a proper pen pal. I love getting letters in the post. But it's just awkward when you have little in common with the other person.
