The dude was always really good in anything he was in; even in Zero Dark Thirty where he played a pretty minor role, he managed to make his presence felt pretty well.

It 's been 2 weeks since I 've started to watch "The Sopranos". Sad news.

Man, MCD and now Gandolfini. The big dudes are having a rough time lately.
What wasn't clear? Just that this is the second larger-dude actor who's died recently of heart problems at around 50.
My point is that big guys have always tended to die young. "Lately" doesn't come into it.
