Larry Livermore tried to sign The Offspring to Lookout! Records
I'm reading this "interview" with Lookout! Records founder Larry Livermore, where he said that he tried to sign The Offspring to his label around 1992 but apparently wasn't happy about that idea. Scroll down in the link below and you'll see a comment about The Offspring.

That's interesting.
They made a better choice going with Epitaph - they fit with those bands a little better. Lookout stuff in the early 90s was filled with that "Ramones-Core" style pop-punk like Mr. T Experience, which is all pretty awesome music but not really they same style as what the Offspring were doing.
