Default Larry Livermore tried to sign The Offspring to Lookout! Records

I'm reading this "interview" with Lookout! Records founder Larry Livermore, where he said that he tried to sign The Offspring to his label around 1992 but apparently wasn't happy about that idea. Scroll down in the link below and you'll see a comment about The Offspring.

    That's interesting.

They made a better choice going with Epitaph - they fit with those bands a little better. Lookout stuff in the early 90s was filled with that "Ramones-Core" style pop-punk like Mr. T Experience, which is all pretty awesome music but not really they same style as what the Offspring were doing.

I agree with what you say about The Offspring being on Epitaph. To me, it would have been weird if they were on Lookout and I know The Offspring's style is somewhat different than that "Ramones-core" style.

I simply cannot fathom what 90s music history would look like today had the Offspring not been on Epitaph.
