I think by very professional, he means is that it's too tight of a setlist and performance. There isn't much room for improv, let alone any "surprises" in terms of songs.

That being said, I'm not really expecting a new album anytime soon nor in the next two years.

Yeah, I think seobd should be banned. He's bumping some threads that are at least a month or more than a week old.

The show, as a whole, is very organized and well put together, both technically and performance-wise. Their songs are well rehearsed and they put a lot of energy into the music itself.

SuperKnux, I know you are a fan of crowd interaction/improv, but let us be honest, 90% of the crowd interaction, with any band, is going to be nearly the same at every show. These guys aren't comedians. I pay to hear the music, not hear them recite 40 minutes of tired old jokes. Their shows have always been mostly music and a shortish, fast set is so punk rawk its painful. If you don't like it, don't go to the shows. *shrug*

When I saw them in September, the show was very tight: the guys all looked like they were having fun, and the audience sure was having a good time.

Well, all we can do is hope. You never know, once The Offspring promises a new album, it wouldn't arrive on what date they would have expected (for example: they wanted to release Days Go By in 2010/2011).
