Default My cat is in labor - HELP

yeah my cat is finally having her kittens. The first kitten was born but with major birth defects and died, rip lil kitten. So now I'm sitting here with my kitty waiting for the rest of the kittens to be born. I'm very nervous, I'm not sure what to do, or if there is anything I can do to help my kitty. I'm afraid all of the kittens will be still born. It's been a awhile since the first kitten arrived. No other kittens yet.

Has anyone here had a cat that had kittens? Any vetanarians on here?

No, but I hear there are vets in the real world. You may want to call one.

They are closed, and very expensive, and my car is in the shop which is costing $1,000. so I'm a lil broke. If you don't know or have anything nice to say, then shut the fuck up!!! The forums won't come crashing down if some one is nice or helpful for once.

    Bloody hell.

How to Help a Cat Give Birth - Includes information on kittens born stillborn or having trouble breathing.

    http://www.purina.co.uk/content/your...d-giving-birth - More general information.

Potential reasons for kittens dying at or soon after birth.

Common conditions to look out for.

http://www.icatcare.org/advice-centr...ttens%E2%80%99 - Another one about the same thing.

Everyone seems to be pretty much in agreement, though. As soon as possible if the animal is in distress you should seek emergency care. If not, contact a vet in the morning and at least see if there is a procedure you can follow.

Also, I doubt this is important to you, but have your animals spayed.

My cat had kittens last summer. I Googled for help. All three of her kittens were fine.

And if you ask me, the lives of your furry little ones > car repair...

I guess she had a miscarriage for the one kitten that had birth defects. She hasn't had anymore kittens, and she seems to be out of labor. I did get a hold of a vet and he just asked me what color are her gums? if they become white or blue bring her in. And he said it could take up to 24 hours for her to give birth. This is her first and only litter.
Thank you for the links, and yes llamas my cat is most important. Right now she is just laying next to me purring.

. Yeah everyone else can move on.. i'm gonna hang back and take care of my cat.

Well she only gave birth to the sick dying kitten. Liberty is still pregnant, has about 4 more kittens to give birth to. I'm really worried about my cat and the unborn kittens.

What's your plan afterward regarding the kittens? Are you going to keep them all? How do you know she's going to have 4 more? Did you take her to the vet?

I'd take her to a vet and let her stay there till she's delivered (just to be on the save side).
    Turn the lights on.
