    Default Holliday planning advice

    Ok, i've got 2 weeks off: 20sept - 6 okt.
    .
Now I'm looking for a place to go. Keeping in mind that renting a car under 25 is really expensive.
It seems likes there's no band on tour in that period. There's however Arthurs Day in Dublin, but that's already sold out..
    Anyone got any ideas?

There's also Arthur's Day in the rest of Ireland, seen as Dublin is a shithole.

But go somewhere where it isn't raining

Haha. The weather isn't really an issue to me, I went to Schotland last year..
I somehow had the idea Dublin would be a nice city, so I'm wrong? Do you know if Arthurs Day is a big thing in the rest of Ireland?

I live in Cork, and it's a big enough night here, there's always been some rather well-known singers/bands playing around here. You do have to buy tickets (but most times I've been out there was usually left over tickets on the night), and usually you don't know who will be playing at what venue so it's a bit of a matter of luck as to who you may end up seeing! It's always a good night anyway.

I'm not a big fan of Dublin- it does have good sights and some lovely architecture, but I prefer other parts of Ireland myself (and there is a bit of Cork-Dublin rivalry so that may be it as well!)

Reminds me of a German I met last year. He told me of his trip to India. It was something like this:
    .
"When you meet someone, you first tell him your name, and then you tell each other your last diarrhea story."
