I have noticed a lot of authors dying in their 60's, which is far below average life expectancy, particularly when you factor in their wealth. That was what I meant by young.

Hunt for Red October was brilliant.
I think I enjoyed the film adaptations of his stuff more than his writing - especially the Jack Ryan stuff.

Yeah, even The Sum Of All Fears gets a bad rap. It's not amazing by any means, the weakest Ryan movie, but it's still pretty solid. Hope Branagh's new one is good, the trailer looks kinda decent. I probably even like Affleck in the role more than the idea of Pine though, though his Kirk is rad.
