The releases I'm most excited for:

Lawrence Arms - Stuff I've heard so far has been fantastic, and it's been a long since Oh, Calcutta's release.

Against Me! - Heard a stream of it, loved it. Its transgender theme has me intrigued, espeically given Laura Gabel's recent announcement....

Molly and the Zombies - Newly announced Brian Fallon side project. There are a couple videos of recent live shows on youtude. Sounds like the stuff from the 59 sound (but a little slower).

Mongol Horde - Frank Turner's hardcore side project.

Decendants - 2004's Cool to be You showed their still capable of writing incredibly catchy stuff. Excited for this one.

Rancid - I was pretty let down by their last album, so I wouldn't quite say I'm "excited" about this one, I'm hoping for a more of a return to form.

New Against Me! and Lawrence Arms are fucking great. The new Mogwai album isn't too bad either.

The new Strung Out album is actually coming out this year. It's called Transmission Alpha Delta and it's supposed to be out in June or something.

If you don't like RHCP without John, why do you think this next album will be better than I'm With You?

Regarding RHCP, By the Way was a stellar album and possibly my favorite of theirs... Stadium Arcadium had some really good songs, but I could never listen all the way through (maybe as background music, but not focusing)... I'm With You is just junk. I don't think I've made it more than 7 or 8 tracks in before turning it off. So I have very, very low expectations for the new one, and won't bother checking it out unless I hear from others first that it's worth it.

I'm stoked for the new Imogen Heap. It's been too long since she released an album, and I think this one's gonna be great. I'm also looking forward to new Taking Back Sunday - they returned to awesomeness with the last album, as the original lineup was together again for the first time since Tell All Your Friends. I only like that one and the newest one, so I'm hoping/expecting this one to follow suit. I will also check out the new The Used. Though I'm not really too into them anymore, I appreciate their stuff and rather enjoyed the last two albums.

I haven't listened to any new albums of this year yet, but as far as ones that are already out that I need to listen to, there's Lydia Loveless and Against Me!

Powerman 5000 is releasing a new album called Builders of the Future on May 27th. I haven't heard of Powerman 5000 in a long time, thinking about them brings back memories of 1999-2000.

I have both new FUCKED UP releases pre-ordered. Ones out next month, one's out in June or May I forget right now. The new Menzingers as well. The new Morning Glory album is REAALLYY good. Lot more punky than the last one(which was great as well). Still gotta grab that new Beck album.
