Just got around to listening to the new Lacuna Coil album, Broken Crown Halo.

It's better than the last two, marginally, but man I hate it how bands tend to go this route. I don't give a shit about "selling out" per se, but it's more that these guys used to actually be interesting, now they're putting out totally-interchangable-with-other-bands radio stuff and having their discs produced by the Linkin Park and Evanescence guys.

Balls. I guess at least this one's a little atmospheric, a bit darker. Still shit.

I tried to listen to the new Stiff Little Fingers album since I will see them open for The Offspring and it was pretty bad

Two albums I've listened to recently that I recommend highly:

The Steve Adamyk Band - Dial Tone.
Garage rock-influenced punk. Very fun stuff. Fans of bands like Toys That Kill/FYP, Chinese Telephones and The Spits will be into this!

Hard Girls - A Thousand Surfaces
    Noisy-yet-poppy indie rock/punk. Awesome stuff.

For those of you who listen to old school metal, Accept (the guys who sing "Balls to the Wall") are putting out a new album this month called "Blind Rage", and they just released a video for their new song "Stampede".

Been listening to the new Deadmau5 and Mastodon. So far, I've really enjoyed both. Also listened to the new Comeback Kid, which was alright. It's not as good as their last album, which I think was their best, but it's still good for those who enjoy hardcore.
