    Default Charity & Moral Priority

Would you say that it is foolish to have done more in your life to help pro-animal organizations than organizations that support humans? Granted, different people are inspired to help with different causes based on their backgrounds and experiences. But still, that doesn't prevent them from making an informed judgement on moral priorities.

Also, you could make this same argument when it comes to donating to the poor in rich and privileged countries vs. donating to the poor in an African nation.

Maybe add the question whether it is better to engage in prosocial behavior by donating to charity or to engage in prosocial behavior by making a different contribution to society, for instance going into politics and working to reduce economic inequality?

Economic inequality? Obama, is that you? Economic equality is some irrational talking point bullshit that is not even comprehensible. Doesn't even make sense.

Please excuse my academic lingo. What I meant with that was "the degree to which the incomes of people in a given society differ" or "the gap between the rich and poor". Maybe that is a little easier to understand than my socialist/academic slang.

Not at all. I probably wouldn't personally prioritize animals over humans but everybody has to do what feels right to them. There is no objective truth to be found.
Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.” – Bill Hicks
