The first thing that came to my mind when I heard this piece of information wasn't "They should release this and that...", but "Hooray! We will finally hear another new Offspring song! And it's the one we fans know about!"

I don't know guys, we've been talking about this song for years. If it were good we probably would have heard it by now. I expect a new "single" to be a new song, written in the past year, not an old B-side.

However, a rarities album would be really cool. And thats where I'd like to have this one. Also like, the US tour they did 2 or 3 summers ago included the cover of Guns of Brixton at every show, which I think would be cool for them to record and have on an album like that.

Ideally I'd like to see a live album with rare songs, covers, B-sides. Not a live greatest hits.

I guess this is a good way to stay semi-relevant during the long break between their albums.
When they said "sit down", I stood up.

I'm pretty sure whether they remain "relevant" or not is no where on their list of priorities. They know their hardcore fans will stand by and wait for new music, even if it takes years. We've done it before and we'll do it again.
I said, "Hi, Greg. I'm the creepy girl." He chuckled, then wanted a handshake and I gave it. I wanted a hug and he gave it. One of his sons was there, too. Cute. Then Pete got him to autograph my sign for me because I was too polite to ask myself since he was on his way to eat. Pete also took this of photo of him holding it. - 8/2/2014.

I agree that Guns of Brixton cover was my favorite part of the 2010 tour I would love to see a studio version of it

Is that Americana b-side or CO1? Is Too fat to make porn real too?

A 2 or 3 song EP this year would be a lot of fun - hell, i'd love even just a new single.
