Default Songs That Sound Better Live

Just as the title says, what songs (for whatever reason) are performed better live than the studio take? Even if they aren't necessarily better, what songs are given a much different sound?

First is "Self Esteem", it's really the tempo that sets it apart. Greg gives a driving bass sound, and it actually doesn't sound bad much faster.

Next is "All I Want". It's really the sign of a good band when they sound great without all the studio tampering, and this song, among others, is proof of that.

"Me and My Old Lady". When I heard some early performances of this song done much faster, my mind was blown. It definitely sounded better.

"Have You Ever" also gets an honorable mention, for the same reasons as "All I Want".

its hard to really tell when you're in the moment, but hearing KHWHD, Dirty Magic and No Hero live last year - my favourite songs anyway - somehow they were even better.

beyond that, Gotta Get Away is always better when you're actually in the pit.

*edit* somehow i blinked and it became 2014. I meant live in 2012, which would be 2 years ago..

I think I made a thread about this, which songs sound better live and which sound better on the albums. I don't feel like going back to it right now to get my answer, though. I'll do it later.
I said, "Hi, Greg. I'm the creepy girl." He chuckled, then wanted a handshake and I gave it. I wanted a hug and he gave it. One of his sons was there, too. Cute. Then Pete got him to autograph my sign for me because I was too polite to ask myself since he was on his way to eat. Pete also took this of photo of him holding it. - 8/2/2014.

Hit That, and Hammehead, with that awesome bass that literally shakes your guts… they should play that song at every show just for the novelty of ripping your face off...

I agree with Hammerhead I guess the reason they don't play it at every show is because it's a long song almost 5 minutes

Also, Noodles really puts a good twist on a classic here:

Not to mention, it's always a treat when both Dexter and Noodles are playing. To me, that's the definitive Offspring sound.
