I saw no resemblance to any song in any part. It's ridiculous.
But one thing I have to agree on. The Offspring use instruments like guitars, drums, bass and vocals like the other bands do. So yeah Offspring are definetly copying other bands. What a dissapointment.

Eh, there are only so many chord progressions possible that sound good., I doubt that even 1/3 of all accusations are legit rip-offs, and you always get flamed by fans for pointing it out.
I always get flamed when I point out he similarities between End Of Fashion - O Yeah and Pixies - Where Is My Mind?, and there it isn't just the same chords, they also have the same loud/quiet song dynamics.

Most of those sound close but knowing how to read music and chords and all that I doubt you'd find one with the exact same notes or chord progression.

Well... you can't music out of nothing, can you? Their inspiration music come from somewhere.
Face it; No song is eccentric. Just turn on your music television channel. Doesn't every song sound familiar? I think so. You just take what you like and put something else there along with it.
